RadioShack lets you hack

Radioshack’s heritage began with do-it-yourself electronics and projects. With the rise of hackerspaces, Maker Faire, and Instructables, we wanted to stay in the conversation by launching “The Great Create,” a call to action for makers to submit their projects to showcase on RadioShack and share with the maker community. We had makers create real-life QR codes that we shot and ran in WIRED magazine, and when scanned took you to the making of videos on the RadioShack website.

(That’s me on the right, filling in as a model to show scale!)

We decided to use the banner ads as an opportunity to teach people how to read an electrical schematic.
